Colon and Rectal Surgery

Our colon-rectal surgeons diagnose and treat your condition, offering relief from discomfort and peace of mind

Colon Rectal SurgeryWhen you have problems with your colon (large intestine), rectum (lower end of the colon) and anus, it can cause great discomfort and pain. And because this is a private area, you may have trouble discussing your problems and coping with treatment. Our colon-rectal surgeons understand. They work with you confidentially and compassionately to diagnose and treat your condition, offering you both relief from your discomfort and peace of mind.

Our surgeons offer a collaborative approach to your care, working closely with their colleagues in gastroenterology, cancer and other specialties to find the best treatment approach for you. We have six board-certified colon-rectal surgeons who are national leaders. They use some of the most advanced tools to diagnose and treat your condition.

Among the areas they work in are:

  • Colonoscopies and other colon cancer screening tools
  • Colon cancer surgery and removal of polyps
  • Inflammatory bowel disease, such as Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis
  • Diverticulitis and diverticular disease
  • Anal problems such as hemorrhoids, fistula and fissure
  • Constipation and diarrhea
  • Fecal incontinence

Whenever possible, our surgeons use minimally invasive surgery. This means they make smaller incisions, which results in a shorter hospital stay and quicker recovery time for you.
